All nurses who meet the criteria below, are eligible to apply for scholarships awarded by the Lions Nurses’ Scholarship Foundation:
- Are currently registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and working within the nursing profession in NSW or the ACT Australia.
- Have a minimum of three years’ experience within the nursing profession since initial registration and prior to making application, the last twelve months of which must have been spent in employment in NSW or the ACT.

Lions Nurses’ Scholarships are available under the following categories:
Category A
Scholarships for the purposes of a study or conference attendance in Australia or overseas not necessarily leading to the award of an additional formal qualification
Category B
Scholarships for extended study leave leading to the award of a formal qualification from a recognised tertiary institution in Australia or overseas.
Applications are received each year from 1 August until COB 31 October.
